We have undertaken a survey of N = 138 and interviewed N = 15 learning designers across four countries in Australasia. In our research we have investigated who Australasian Learning Designers are in the post-pandemic era, their working conditions and their perspectives on a range of issues including career paths, key capabilities, whether LD standards are needed, role classification, challenges and opportunities as well as advice and words of wisdom for those starting out as a learning designer in universities.
We are working hard in our “spare” time to get our research shared with the community. Below is the current status of our research and planned publications.
